Operating system upgrade

The upgrade of the operating system of the computers in the sea level office has practically been completed. Some issues arose due to the long time passed since the last upgrade, where the way that part of the software works and its functionality had changed significantly.

The file server that contains all the staff mail and home directories has also been replaced with a new one with 10 times the space (from $\sim$60GB to $\sim$600GB).

We are currently also evaluating the steps that need to be made to replace or upgrade the computers at the observatory, as most of those are critical for the telescope operation and can't be upgraded or replaced individually. Most of the time we find there are subtle inter-dependencies and this has to be planned carefully.
