Quality control

Because of continuing problems with the illumination of the low-resolution fiber by the top calibration unit, the gain-RON monitoring is now using fiber #3. There are some problems with the monitoring scripts (the process often stalls) which needs to be fixed.

One of the main objectives is to derive and specify the long-term wavelength zero-point accuracy for observations with and without simultaneous ThAr mode.

For the different calibration exposures there are script which first take a (windowed) test exposure to define the required exposure time. To monitor the health of the calibration lamps the idea is to record the results from these scripts in a data base.

The results from all the different quality control scripts will need to incorporated in the main NOT database.
