Photometry: MOSCA

What do I do?

  1. If you are not familiar with the imaging camera to be used, then check using StanCam. StanCAM can be used while MOSCA is mounted.

  2. For the trigger person

Go to the NOT observing script generator to generate the observing script. To save a script, do not press "Save". Either copy the output of the preview window into a text file or press "Load" to upload the script to the script folder at the NOT.

Remarks: "MEXP" means that an observation is repeated X-times. This is independent of the dither mode. At the moment it is not possible to select a filter. Therefore, state this in the trigger email and choose filenames appropriately.

    For the observer

After putting the filter in the beam, run either the corresponding script attached to the email or go to

    ~obs/scripts/53-032 .

This has to be repeated for each filter.

  3. Send an email to the FRB team and add in the End-Of-Night report, which images were made, and approximately how much time you spent in total.

  4. If you have any problems or questions contact your support on duty. You are also welcome to contact the FRB team or the PI (Daniele Malesani) of the program either with e-mail or phone a member of the team using the contact information in the trigger email.
