Optical/NIR follow-up of fast radio bursts in the era of interferometers
60-029 Andrea Rossi
Summary:
What are fast radio bursts (FRBs)?
The short answer: nobody knows.
It may well be that this program
will help providing a better answers!
Our proposal
We aim at detecting and characterizing the optical and near-infrared
counterparts of FRBs. The first key step is simply to localize such
objects, assuming that they have detectable optical emission.
Calibrations
Twilight flats and bias frames from alfosc-calibs
Observations
The PI will send the target and observing information when
this ToO is triggered.
