The Summit Service Building ExtensionThe summit site currently consists of the telescope itself and a service building located 30m from the dome. The service building comprises of a common room, three small offices, a computer room, a kitchen and mechanical and electronics workshops.An extension to the service building was done in 1998. This extension will allowed a significant re-organization to take place and resulted in larger and more functional areas for the common room/kitchen, the offices, and the workshops. The plans for the service building extension and pictures from the building site are available below.
