Publications based on NOT DataDocumenting the published scientific output from the NOT is an important part of our reporting duties and essential for our continued existence. Therefore, authors who publish papers wholly or partially based on data collected at the NOT MUST credit the use of the telescope with the following acknowledgement:"Based on observations made with the Nordic Optical Telescope, owned in collaboration by the University of Turku and Aarhus University, and operated jointly by Aarhus University, the University of Turku and the University of Oslo, representing Denmark, Finland and Norway, the University of Iceland and Stockholm University at the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos, La Palma, Spain, of the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias."
We maintain a continually updated inventory of all publications based wholly or in part on data from the NOT, sorted by year of publication (see below). All NOT users are kindly requested to help us keep this inventory complete and up to date by informing us of any such papers as soon as they are published, by e-mail to: staff[at]not.iac.es. The numbers in the annual lists and in the figure below refer to refereed publications (i.e. A&A, AJ, ApJ, MNRAS, Nature and NatAs, PASP, and, possibly less complete, AN, Icarus, PASJ, and Science), while the lists also include at the end some (refereed) conference proceedings and/or relevant other publications. Information on any missing entries from previous years is gratefully received at any time.
