The number of dead pixels in the currently installed engineering grade array has not increased further beyond 5%. The dead pixels are still mainly located on one of the sides of the array, so they don't interfere with observations much. However, we still believe it would be good to change to the science array but this depends on support from CUO.
We are still awaiting a modification of the array controller such that an `ABORT' command can be implemented in the BIAS detector control program. Further improvements to increase the readout speed will have to wait until the new controller for the detector array is available.
