As it is vital for post-processing and future archive usage of data that unique names and identifiers are used in the FITS headers for any changeable optical element a set of unique names for the filters, grisms and apertures were defined, and a graphical user interface is being developed (starting with ALFOSC) to edit the definition files based on these lists.
