One of the main remaining issues is the large amount of windows that are on the display of the data acquisition computer showing the incoming data and the processed data, and the status of the detector(s) and instrument(s). This is especially an issue for FIES as StanCam needs to be operated at the same time for target acquisition. We are working on this in several ways, where the main objective is to better use the available space. Specifically, we are developing a way of displaying observing data (both raw and processed data, e.g., sky subtracted NOTCam data) in a single display with a varying number of sub-windows. Also, the idea is to develop new status displays for the detectors which are smaller and specifically tailored to the available space.
