Network

We had planned to install our own wireless system at the observatory, but this was not allowed as the IAC is in the process of providing their own for common use in all the rooms. This was promised to be ready in November but for unknown reasons this has not happened yet.

A further increase in the bandwidth of the network link from the observatory to Tenerife have being implement. Even a further upgrade to a 1Gb network is planned, but this does not include a connection to our sea-level office. However, solutions are being looked at together with the ING.
