Following the reported varying overheads with reading and storing images with NOTCam, a set of programs designed to record data about the environment in which observing programs (BIAS, sequencer, etc) are run, and analyze it. Currently we are able to measure CPU and network load, plus a list of the most CPU-hungry processes, twice a second. The probe program has been written carefully to be non intrusive, and to use as few CPU cycles as possible. Using this data we can correlate readout times with system behavior. The main goal is to find out the possible causes for overheads at readout time.
